How to Apply
Dual Credit programs provide Hawai‘i high school students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. View Early College Requirements (PDF)
For Early College/Running Start Students
- Speak with your high school counselor about Dual Credit and discuss the program you are interested in. It is very important to be sure you have the permission of your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) to participate.
- Complete the Online Application. Check out our Early College Application Guide (PDF) for some tips for completing the application. If you would like to meet with someone for more assistance you can schedule an appointment to meet with us or email us.
Application Deadlines (these deadlines are specific to Dual Credit Students):
Fall Term: May 1
Spring Term: November 1 - Submit a Dual Credit Application Form or Early Admit Form (PDF).

Returning Students
Returning Students: If you have taken Early College or Running Start in the past two years, you can submit the Dual Credit Roll Over Request Form (PDF) by email.
Application Rollover Request
Students are eligible for a rollover request over a span of two years. HonCC must have been the student’s last home campus. A student is eligible for a rollover request if the student’s last semester of acceptance and/or last semester of registration is no more than two years prior to the upcoming semester. (Example: Student can have his or her application rolled over from Fall 2018 to Fall 2022, Summer 2018 to Fall 2022, or Spring 2018 to Spring 2022.) There are no roll backs!
