April 8Summer Registration begins for New, Re-admit and Transfer Students. All New Students must complete Orientation online and sign up for a Registration session.

*General Education courses numbered below 100 level will be offered at a discounted rate of $131.00 per credit for Hawaii residents, $345.00 for non-resident and $196.50 for Pacific Islander.

Special Programs

GenCyber’s mission is to grow the number of students studying cybersecurity in the United States. The program includes summer camps across the nation designed for high school students and teachers.

CARE‘s The College Experience is a virtual interactive experience that allows students to meet other HonCC students, learn about our campus and resources, and hear from fellow HonCC students about valuable lessons learned. In addition, students will gain knowledge about how to have a successful semester and learn what to expect in your first semester at HonCC. The College Experience is open to new, returning and transfer students.

The Hawai‘i High School Auto Academy targets high school students interested in the automotive industry in which they participate in an unpaid internship at a Cutter dealership  in the mornings, then attend classes at Honolulu Community College (HonCC) in the afternoon, five days a week for six weeks to total 120 classroom hours. Upon successful completion of the program the students will receive four college credits towards an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automotive Technology.

The innovative summer program began as a collaborative partnership between HonCC, First Hawaiian Bank, Waipahu High School and the Cutter Automotive Group in response to a shortage of trained workers in the automotive technology industry.

Since the program’s inception in 2004, the bank has contributed over $125,000, which covers the cost of tuition, tools and supplies.

  • Six week summer automotive experience for Juniors and Seniors.
  • Program runs five days a week. Dates TBA.
  • AM class work at HonCC
  • PM internship with a Cutter Dealership
  • Intern at a Cutter Dealership and learn theory at HonCC.
  • Receive 4 college credits towards an Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive Technology.
