Quality of Life Survey for Bridge to Hope Participants
This purpose of this study to measure the quality of life of single mothers who are current or former participants in the Bridge to Hope (BTH) program, and to assess the efficacy of BTH in attaining one's educational goals. I hope to better understand the needs of BTH participants, and to determine how BTH can improve its services.

Your identity will be anonymous and held in strict confidentiality, and your participation is completely voluntary. This study is a part of a required course at the University of Hawaii - West Oahu Social Science Program. Thank you very much for your participation.

What type of activities do you engage with your children in on a daily basis? How much time do you spend with them?

How much time is spent eating with your children, bathing, helping them with homework, getting them dressed, etc.?
How often do you go on outings and where do you go?

What are your study habits? How much time do you study and is it sufficient? How is your school performance and grades?

Sleep:

How much sleep do you get during the week and on the weekend? Is this enough?

Relaxation and Leisure Activities.

What do you do for recreation and down time for JUST YOU? How often do you receive this?

Housework.

How much time per week do you spend performing housework such as laundry, dishes, cooking, etc.?

Do you NOT do certain cleaning activities, why or why not?
How do you maintain a sense of balance?
How do you prioritize between conflicting roles such as housework/studying, children/studying, work/study, etc..?
What kind of support systems are available to you? Do your family, friends, significant other, etc. help out? How consistent is this help for you?

The next section will ask you how these same areas are affected DURING EXAM TIME, or just before a research paper or project is due. Please document whether the following areas change in priority, time allocation, etc.

Describe how you make ends meets. Do you ever have to stretch money or not pay a bill? How often does this occur?
The last section focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of BTH.
