Bridge to Hope Program Evaluation
The purpose of this study is to gain participant insight of the Bridge to Hope (BTH) program who are current or former students, and to assess the efficacy of BTH on increasing one's self-sufficiency. I hope to better understand the needs of BTH participants, and to determine how BTH can improve its services.

Your identity will be held in strict confidentiality. For the purpose of this study, your initials will be appreciated should any follow up questions occur; however, that is completely voluntary. This study is a part of a required course at the University of Hawaii - West Oahu Social Science Program. Thank you very much for your participation.

What were your experiences in finding an on campus job while participating in BTH? How could the process of finding an on campus job improve?
Briefly explain your educational background since you've graduated from high school. Did you enter college right away or work? Have you been in school the whole time or did you take a break? At what point did BTH come into play?
How did you hear about BTH?
How helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive was your First to Work case manager about your decision to participate in BTH? How available was your case manager? Were you encouraged to find work instead of attend school?
How helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive is your BTH counselor concerning other resources and other aspects of BTH? For the most part, is your counselor available, returns your phone calls, etc.?
How has BTH changed your outlook on life - particularly your values and beliefs?
What type of effect has BTH had on the relationship with your children?
Do you have other alternatives for care of your children when you still have class and/or work? For example: when your children have minor illnesses, waiver days, breaks, baby sitter is sick, etc. Could you benefit from a BTH support network at the campus to facilitate care?
