VISIT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
(last update Thu, Sep 6, 2007 )
When should I plan on visiting a college?
- Usually if you are a junior or senior you should be looking at colleges that fit your academic needs and appeal to you. You can use the Kuder Career Planning System to help narrow your search for a college that is right for you.
- We can arrange for groups of students to go to one or more of our local colleges. If you are interested in a particular college or university send us an email [see below]. When we get enough students to put together a group, we will contact everyone.
Can I start sooner?
- You can visit just about any college today by using the Internet. Links for local colleges and university are show below. Just click on the URL and start your search.
- Twice a year Mainland and local colleges come to either the Blaisdell or Convention Center. High schools will usually bus students to this event. They are also open in the evening for you and your parents to attend. This is a great way to check out mainland schools without the travel expense.
- If you are interested in a certain career and don’t know what college or university has a major for it, ask us and we will get you a list of colleges.
