The reference librarian will assist in selecting and requesting materials. The ISL form requires your UH ID number and contact information. Please note that not all materials may be requested. Each library determines what it will loan.

How long does ISL take?
Books and media are delivered by Campus Mail on Oahu, and by the U.S. Postal Service between the Neighbor Islands. This may take 3-10 days.
Articles are usually transmitted electronically between libraries, so may take less time, 1-3 days.
Is there a charge?
Books are delivered at no charge.
Articles of less than 50 pages are also free.
There is a $3.00 charge for each media request from the Wong Audiovisual Center at Sinclair Library, UH Manoa. (Please note that you may go to the Wong AV Center in person and request items directly at no charge.)
Overdue materials will accrue fines.
How will I know when my materials arrive?
HCC Library staff will contact you by phone or email.
How long can I keep ILL items?
Loan periods vary. Please check with Circulation staff when you are notified that your materials have arrived.
You may keep articles received through ISL.
Where do I return ISL materials?
Return them to HCC Library or any of the other UH System Libraries.
