SCOTT

"My name is Scott Ka‘alele. I am currently attending the University of Hawaii as an English major. I graduated from Honolulu Community College in the fall of 2009. I am 37 years and I enjoy the college experience much more than I did when I was barely out of high school. Being a non-traditional student I find I have an infinite curiosity that I suspect only gets more infinite with age. I have been a beekeeper, a messenger, a radio talk show host, a disc jockey and a sports reporter. For the last five or six years I was a construction worker. I have found myself much more tired from studying than from digging a ditch with a shovel. I am going to graduate with my BA in the spring of 2011 and I am going to pursue my masters in library science. I have always wanted to be a Librarian or an English teacher. When I am not studying I enjoy wandering through bookstores and doing New York Times crosswords, but only Monday through Wednesday, the other days are too hard. I am looking forward to working with students of all levels and sharing whatever I have learned in my extended academic career. p.s…. I understand that curiosity cannot get more infinite, but I thought it sounded funny."
