Well, I was born and raised in the Twin Cities in Minnesota and did not do much traveling until I was 18. So I wound up at a small college in Ohio, Antioch College where all students got real jobs off campus every other quarter. I applied for the college's "study abroad" program and spent a year in Europe at the University of South Wales and Monmouthshire in Cardiff. I cycled around Europe from Sweden to Austria and tried the beer and food all along the way. With graduation upon me I applied to the U of Hawaii and have been here ever since. My hobbies include the Pacific cultures, filming, video and computers. Anthropology is a perfect way to use these interests and combine them.
