Who is eligible for admission?

Any U.S. high school graduate or any person 18 years of age or over is eligible for admission to the College. ACT, SAT, and CEEB scores are not required for acceptance into Honolulu Community College. Visit the Admissions page for more information.

When does the bookstore buy back books?

The bookstore buys books twice yearly, at the end of Fall (December) and Spring (May) semesters. Visit the Bookstore Buyback FAQ for more information.

Do you offer online, TV or video courses?

Yes, Honolulu Community College offers Distance Education courses available as Cable, Online or Cable+Online. Visit the Distance Education web site for more information.

Can you send me a College Catalog?

The College Catalog can be viewed online in PDF format or they can be purchased online at the HCC Bookstore Web Site. Contact our Bookstore at (808) 845-9105 for more information.

Are there campus visits for High School students?

Yes. If you are interested in scheduling a campus tour, you can e-mail Grace Funai, Admissions Counselor, or call her at 845-9190. Please give us at least 2 weeks advance notice.

What is the Student-Faculty ratio?

For the Fall 2007 semester, faculty/student ratio was 19 to 1. All numbers are the official numbers published by the HCC Institutional Research Office.

Do you have an athletics program?

Honolulu Community College does not have an athletics program. What do we have to do to apply for parking?

If you are eligible for the parking lottery, you will be able to answer the parking lottery survey located in the Personal Information menu under Academic Services in the MyUH Portal.

Do you have summer school?

Yes, Honolulu Community College offers courses during the summer. Visit the Class Availability page to see which courses are going to be offered during the summer. Typically the summer schedule is available in early March.
