The EMC has two locations.
The main office is on the 3rd floor of Building 7
The Print Shop and Graphics section is located in Building 16 near the Administration building.

HOURS OF OPERATION

• 8:00 am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday.
• 8:00 am to 12:00pm Sat (in support of Apprenticeship)

ACADEMIC SUPPORT SERVICES

As the Director and an HCC faculty member, Jon is responsible for managing the Center and it’s employees, to insure that you are getting the highest quality media support services available. Other services provided include:

• Research and evaluation of audio-visual instructional materials
• Develop long-range projections on emerging instructional materials and equipment.
• Research, evaluation, acquisition, repair and maintenance of all campus audio-visual equipment and systems
• Utilization of audio-visual materials, equipment and systems on a campus-wide, UH-system wide, and state-wide basis.
• Assists the faculty, staff, and administration in the improvement of instruction through the use of educational communications and technology.
• Manage production workload
• Develop long-term staffing and budget plans for EMC
• Researches, develops specifications, recommends, implements the
• installation, and monitors the performance of campus-wide media systems.
• Consults with faculty, staff and administration concerning the function, purchase and/or rental of equipment and materials of instruction.
• Evaluation of emerging trends/innovations in audio-visual fields and curriculum fields for long-range planning in order to coordinate College research for curriculum development and the improvement of instruction.
• Acts as a representative of the College in various system-wide and state-wide activities related to media development and implementation including systems applications.
